We are currently recruiting for a Change Agent based in Manchester who will play a critical on-the-ground role in ensuring that Ground Handling Agents and airline teams adopt and implement automation technologies effectively, while maintaining high operational and housekeeping standards. This role focuses on observing daily operations, intervening where necessary to address non-compliance, and ensuring adherence to agreed standards for automation and housekeeping. Location: Manchester Airport Length: 7-month contract inside IR35, potentially longer if a success Environment: Onsite Shift Patterns: 4 days on 4 days off Start 3am end 2pm Need to ideally be onsite around 2am, they will have the use of free staff parking and free transfer bus to the terminal (run every 5 mins) and ensure they have sufficient time. Responsibilities: Ensure proper positioning, adherence to procedures, and active promotion of automation technologies. Identify and address deviations from expected behaviors or processes, intervening as necessary to uphold operational standards. Ensure queueing barriers are set up correctly and that GHA staff effectively manage passenger flow. Confirm operational readiness of Self-Service Kiosks, Self-Service Bag Drops, and check-in desks. Verify the correct placement of airline branding, signage, and materials at check-in facilities. Ensure desks and other facilities are free from obstructions and ready for operation. Monitor airline adherence to scheduled opening and closing times and staffing allocations. Provide real-time updates to the Change Agent Supervisor, supporting broader operational strategies. Key Experience: Experience in an operational or supervisory role, ideally within an airport, logistics, or transport environment. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with external stakeholders to ensure compliance and operational consistency. A keen eye for ensuring facilities and staff positioning meet operational and passenger expectations.
