SSEN Transmission has a fantastic opportunity for a Regulatory Assurance Analyst to join our Risk & Assurance team. The Risk & Assurance team in SSEN Transmission provides the processes for identifying, assessing and controlling threats in line with the business risk appetite and ensures that reliable information is delivered to internal and external stakeholders through coordinated assurance activities. We are currently recruiting for an Assurance Analyst to play a pivotal role in driving high levels of compliance and assurance within the business. The role acts as a coordination point, supporting cross business activities to implement assurance and regulatory compliance across the organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure all required elements are captured and are carried out effectively. Our Assurance Analysts are the second line of defence within our Risk & Assurance model and play a critical role in ensuring that we remain compliant with our regulatory licence obligations as well as delivering the assurance audit plan and risk-based testing. In this role you will: - Operate the assurance framework to ensure compliance with legal obligations, our Standard and Special Licence Conditions. - Assess, measure and improve assurance and compliance of our control framework including Data Assurance Guidelines, Business Separation and Rule Change Notifications. - Undertake risk assessment and assurance reviews to verify obligations and licence conditions are being met across the business and produce and communicate accurate reports reflective of findings. - Conduct audits in line with the approved assurance audit plan and ensure that all identified actions are tracked through to conclusion. - As a key member of the Risk & Assurance team ensure that areas of potential business risk are reviewed on an ongoing basis and incorporated into the overall integrated assurance plan. What do I need? To be considered for this role, we would love you to have: - Audit experience and ideally ISO 9001 trained. - A focus on quality and have a passion for delivering service excellence at all times. - Excellent presentation and communication skills in addition to strong data and report writing skills. - Exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail. - Previous experience in a regulatory compliance, quality assurance or audit role would be an advantage.
