Faculty / Directorate The Research Business and Innovation Directorate provides specialist support to the DMU research community, supporting the delivery of ambitious research targets as the institution broadens and deepens its research portfolio. Role Reporting to the Research Excellence Manager and supporting the Senior Research Analyst, the Research Analytics Officer will oversee research outputs, income, and environment data capture across the faculties and research themes. They will support the modelling and preparation of data to monitor ongoing research performance. The data will inform strategic decision-making and be used to support the next Research Excellence Framework (REF) submission. Attention to detail is essential as you will also be preparing reports that will support DMU?s strategic planning. Collaboration and teamwork are essential, as you will work closely with colleagues to achieve shared goals. Ideal Candidate To be successful, you will have achieved a good first degree or have the equivalent experience from professional work placements. Have a good understanding of the issues involved in data planning, management, and reporting. Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential, as is knowledge of data analytics tools such as Power BI. You need to have good written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
