Who are we looking for? We are currently looking for a Fees Officer to join our Finance team at Cambridge Education Group ! The role is on a full-time, permanent basis with the location ideally in Cambridge, United Kingdom.We operate under a Hybrid Working schedule - with the possibility to work 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. About the role The primary role is intended to be responsible for customer service and interacting directly with students and internal staff and to manage and maintain the billing and cash process on a day-to-day basis. The role at times may be required to help collect fees in accordance with invoice due dates, following procedures as set out by Cambridge Education Group including restricting access to study platforms. As a Fees Officer you will: To manage and maintain the billing process on a day-to-day basis. To maximise efficiency of the billing process encompassing billing and payment method changes to support the sales team including a variety of discounts, bursaries and fees management policies. Ensure that finance systems run smoothly and escalate issues via ticketing systems and to work with external IT support partners across various platforms and centres. At times maybe required to help collect fees in accordance with invoice due dates, following procedures as set out by Cambridge Education Group including restricting access to study platforms. Cash application from daily cash receipts that are not fully automated from a variety of payment methods. Handle queries and traces in respect of payments including domestic and international transactions being aware of sanctions and fraud activity that may lead to re-charges. To work with other members of the Central Finance Team and College and other CEG staff to quickly and courteously answer queries from agents and fee payers regarding student accounts. Key aspects we will be looking for: Essential Proven track record of customer service and query resolution. Strong focus on customer service. Excellent communication skills by phone and email. Good listening and questioning skills. Excellent use of Microsoft Office applications. Can prioritise conflicting demands. Desirable Admissions or administrator experience in an educational sector. Track record of fee collection via finance administration, debtor communications and chasing. Cash allocation and banking experience an advantage. Good commercial awareness to support operational teams. Problem-solving abilities. Accuracy and attention to detail. Remains balanced, rational and courteous in dealing with others at all times.
