We are seeking a Finance Specialist for a 12-month contract based in Derby (Hybrid) on behalf of our globally respected client, known for developing cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe, and competitive solutions to meet the planet?s vital power needs. Purpose of the role: As a Finance Specialist, you will provide financial support to the Manufacturing Executive of Large Engines and leadership teams, ensuring aligned financial strategy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Maintain financial governance, controls, and strategic insight to drive business performance and maximize working capital. As a Finance Specialist, you be responsible for: Providing financial insight, challenge, and support to the Large Engines leadership team to drive strong business performance. Leading cost engagement initiatives, ensuring P&L visibility, and identifying risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures. Translating strategy into financial plans, coordinating forecasts, and ensuring adherence to financial targets across plants. Ensuring financial controls, governance, and compliance standards are met while maintaining accurate financial insights. Partnering with leadership teams to enhance financial acumen and foster a cost-conscious culture across the organisation. Supporting capital investment decisions by evaluating business cases, ensuring sound financial planning, and maintaining governance compliance. What we require from the candidate: Qualified senior finance professional with strong interpersonal, influencing, and organizational skills. Proven leadership ability to challenge and support senior stakeholders in an operational environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and hands-on approach. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to build effective relationships across functions. Strategic mindset with the ability to drive financial performance and business improvements.
