Job Title: Laboratory Technician Job Type: Permanent Location: Cambridge Hours : 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday 9-5 Industry: Health & Nutrition, Food Job Description SGS is looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Contaminants Laboratory team (Food industry). You will be responsible for sample preparation and extraction, ensuring high analytical performance in accordance with ISO 17025 standards. This role is key in delivering accurate, high-quality results on time to our clients. Key Responsibilities Perform sample preparation and extraction following SGS-approved SOPs. Ensure all laboratory activities comply with ISO 17025 and SGS quality systems. Report any equipment or instrumentation failures to senior staff. Maintain organized, auditable laboratory records. Complete daily tasks efficiently to support operational output. Maintain a safe working environment, following Health & Safety protocols. Qualifications What We?re Looking For Experience in a laboratory environment (preferred but not essential). Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and equipment.
