Our Newcastle office is currently recruiting for a Marketing & Business Development Executive to support in driving and supporting marketing activities in the areas of email marketing, bids and credentials, internal communications, CRM database maintenance, social media and maintaining our intranet and external website. The Role This role operates in a busy EMEA MBD Services team, which supports the wider Marketing & Business Development function in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The role will involve direct liaison with lawyers and business services teams and you will report into the Newcastle MBD team lead. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of bids and directories within a legal environment. Knowledge of marketing practices is highly beneficial, though comprehensive training will be provided. Most importantly, we seek someone with motivation to learn, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to build a career within Marketing and Business Development. Key Responsibilities Producing bespoke bids, pitches and other client development presentations/content (formal and informal) Setting up bid documents ready for content Training and mentoring the more junior members of the team across all marketing workstreams Advising stakeholders and requestors on best practice across our workstreams Providing options and solutions to any queries from requestors Continually reviewing our processes to ensure they are fit for purpose and are efficient Take a leading role in high level projects and campaigns Managing digital, email marketing and social media requests. Working directly with the relevant Marketing and Business Development team to agree approach, process and delivery of work. Completing wrap up processes to ensure content is added to or updated in our central management systems. Drafting and editing copy in commercially appropriate language, maintaining at all times a high level of attention to detail. Assisting with BD activity including client development, profile raising, legal directory submissions and pitching. Reviewing client requirements, creating deliverables matrices and using those to drive ownership among the stakeholders Managing documentation ensuring layout is correct and to a high standard including adapting presentation formats, and liaising with the brand and design team where appropriate Consistently meeting both internal and external deadlines. Acting as a key point of contact and ambassador for the team with the wider business, MBD and other key stakeholders. Establishing a close and effective relationship with colleagues and teams across all EMEA offices the business.
