As a Purchasing Supervisor, you will oversee inventory management, lead your team, and build strong relationships across departments. Your main responsibilities will be: Management of complete Inventory Purchasing Operations Team and support for Inventory & Purchasing Manager. Lead and initiate key projects within Purchasing Department and the Supply Chain. Develop skills throughout the team to ensure all members maintain a high level of ability and competence. Monitor accuracy of reports and outputs of KPI?s and targets. Development of key Supply Chain & Supplier relationships, including group and 3rd party with a view to implement contracts and SLA?s where appropriate. Measurement of supplier performance with ongoing action plans to prevent problems, manage risks/exposure and improve supply continuity. What you?ll need to succeed: Proven leadership and management skills. Ability to write business plans and proposals with supporting evidence. Experience in logistics and capacity planning. Competent in all areas of product forecasting, demand planning and inventory control principles. Experience in product sourcing and supplier negotiations, and vendor onboarding, appraisal / contract management. Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. Accurate and methodical with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a large deadline driven workload.
