Due to year-on-year growth the Acorn Group are looking for a highly motivated Senior Backend Developer with proficiency in .NET Technologies to join our innovative team within our Telematics squad. We are looking for someone to have strong experience in developing robust applications using .NET technologies whilst having strong knowledge of modern software development practices. Within this role there will be exciting and innovate projects that will span across scalable systems, microservice architectures and data driven solutions all whilst working with a talented cross-functional team. Job Title: Senior Backend Developer Location: Liverpool - Hybrid (3 days per week in the office) Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am ? 5:30pm Salary: 55,000 - 75,000 DOE What you will be doing: Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using .NET 8 and C#. Contribute to the implementation of microservices to support scalable and modular system designs. Work within the established architecture guidelines under the mentorship of the Technical Lead. Assist in implementing Mediator and MassTransit frameworks for service communication. Work with RabbitMQ to manage message queuing and handling. Interact with databases such as MongoDB, Azure Cosmos DB, MySQL, and MS SQL Server to support application functionality. Implement caching strategies using Redis to improve system performance. Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align on project goals and deliverables. Provide input and support to ensure successful project execution. What we are looking for: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in .NET development. Proficient in .NET 8 and C# programming. Solid understanding of microservice architecture. Familiarity with Mediator and MassTransit frameworks. Experience with RabbitMQ and message bus architectures. Proficient in working with databases such as Azure Cosmos DB, MySQL, and MS SQL Server. Experience with Redis for caching. Ability to work with large datasets and data streaming solutions. .
