Senior Quantity Surveyor Here?s what you?ll be doing Salary: 60,601- 73,963 Company Car/Car allowance Flexible base location (Coventry, Nottingham, Kingswinford) with hybrid working. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the successful simultaneous commercial management of several complex multi-disciplined and multi-lot projects from conception through to completion. You will be required to regularly visit contractor and supplier sites to ensure quality and alignment with commercial objectives. Working closely with our Design and Project teams, you?ll help shape and drive procurement processes, building a competitive and resilient supply chain underpinned by robust contracts typically exceeding 2 million. You?ll also play a key role in seeking continuous improvements that maximise value across every stage of delivery. Key Responsibilities Advise the Project Manager on commercial strategy to ensure successful project outcomes. Create and manage project commercial controls for both internal and external service providers, ensuring delivery to budget. Manage the placement and preparation of contracts (NEC, JCT, and bespoke agreements), including pricing schedules and documentation. Take a lead role in the preparation and evaluation of tenders, contract negotiations, and conflict resolution with suppliers and contractors. Identify and mitigate project commercial risks, including delays, variations, and contractual issues. Drive procurement planning in line with E.ON?s strategy, supporting the development of a secure supply chain. Own CAF and ACSA processes, ensuring all authorisations and documentary evidence are in place. Seek and assess new suppliers and contractors to enhance value, quality, and supply security. Analyse business practices and market conditions to evaluate bid responsiveness and contractor performance. Manage external relationships while protecting E.ON?s brand and values. Build strategic partnerships with internal service providers to maximise long-term value. Complete all quantity surveying duties including cost analysis, valuations, invoicing, and performance reporting. Take ownership of financial outcomes across projects, ensuring strong contractual and commercial governance. What we need from you Degree qualified in a commercial or quantity surveying discipline, with financial, contractual, and construction law knowledge. Experience within the ICP (Independent Connection Provider), Mechanical & Electrical, Civil Engineering, and Power / electrical sectors., including tender assessment, specification writing, and contract negotiation. Proven leadership in managing quantity surveying functions, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and drive commercial performance. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a strategic approach to supply chain relationships and commercial outcomes. Strong analytical and IT skills, with a proactive, creative approach to problem-solving and a full UK driving licence.
